Rules, Terms, and Conditions
All prospective writers must go through several steps before becoming an author, and must agree to the rules outlined on this page. To apply, you must agree to the Contributor Agreement page, and follow the rules set forth in the Editorial Guide.
Steps to Becoming an Author
- Applicants begin the process as a Contributor. Contributors must provide 3 submissions over a month. Contributors can suggest a topic to cover, or have one assigned. The post will then be written by the contributor, and reviewed by the editor. If approved by the editor, the post will be published with their name as the author. Contributors can also request to include a link going back to their website or off-site profile.
- Contributors that go through this process can move on to becoming an Author. This grants the ability to go from idea to publishing the post, with minor input from an editor. Authors receive their own About page, and continue to have all their work published under their name.
- Outstanding contributors have the opportunity to become editors themselves, letting them manage other authors and contributors, and collaborating on larger posts.
The content that is published becomes the property of the current owner of Teknophilia, which reserves the right to modify, revise, and remove posts by others.
Compensation
Contributors, authors, and editors explicitly accept that no compensation for their contributions will be provided, and they agree to relinquish future compensation for their submissions.
